Makeup & Personal Care

Wet & Wild – HUGE, national, affordable make up brand that’s committed to going 100% vegan!! MAJOR WIN. This links to the products that are already vegan.

Kat Von D – a very heavy, thick-coating make up line from famous vegan tattoo artist Kat Von D! Surprisingly, not everything is vegan, but she makes it easy to determine with her #veganalert tag. This links to the #veganalert product section.

100% Pure – bath, body & makeup company committed to creating products with natural ingredients (like fruit-pigmented lipstick!). This links to the vegan products. (Note: while nearly all customers tout the feel and quality of the lip products, the majority of reviews also state that the online swatches are not true-to-life color. We suggest finding a store near you.)

Pacifica – 100% vegan makeup, perfume, nail polish, and bath & body products.

Too Faced – waiting on corporate for an official list of vegan make up products (according to other bloggers, there are many!) In the meantime, you should be able to stop into a Sephora and ask them to look up which Too Faced items that they carry are vegan.

Personal Care

Dr. Bronner’s – Recently certified vegan soaps, lotions, toothpaste, and more! Everything except for their lip and body balms, which contain beeswax. That being said, the site assures us, “The beeswax is sourced from beekeepers in Zambia who do not kill the queen bees annually in order to maximize production…”

Tom’s of Maine – Apparently 100% vegan (as well as Kosher, halal-certified, and gluten-free) body washes, lotions, deodorants, and toothpaste. The “Not in Our Products” page asserts there are no animal ingredients or testing used.
